Centerpieces

Spin Analytical offers a variety of precision molded epoxy centerpieces for use in standard AUC cell assemblies. Centerpieces are filled with graphite powder to minimize thermal gradients (aluminum filler available on request). All our centerpieces are compatible with Beckman-Coulter cell components. All of our centerpieces are external loading through a single fill hole. Spin Analytical does not sell 2-hole “Flow Through” centerpieces.

Sedimentation Velocity centerpieces

Sedimentation velocity centerpieces have sector shaped channels with walls parallel to the rotor radius. Spin50 channel size is the same as standard Beckman 2-channel centerpieces, whereas Spin60 centerpieces have a narrower channel (thicker septum) and are therefore rated to higher speeds.

Sedimentation Equilibrium centerpieces

Sedimentation equilibrium centerpieces have rectangular shaped sample channels and external fill holes. A 6-hole cell housing is required to use these centerpieces.
